Canal Park is located at 202 M St, SE, Washington DC, 20003.

NOTE: Beginning Friday, June 3, the Metrorail system will close at midnight every night to allow for the implementation of SafeTrack, an expanded track work plan to improve Metrorail safety and restore service reliability. The last night with a 3 a.m. closing time will be Saturday, May 28. From that point on, the final departure time from Navy Yard/Ballpark metro is 11:39 pm.

DC Circulator

Union Station--Navy Yard Route via Capitol Hill. The Circulator costs only $1 and runs every 10 minutes weekdays 6am - 9pm, Saturdays from 7am - 9pm, with extended weekend and evening service for Nationals game days. Click here for a route map and hours of operation.


Multiple Metro bus routes including the A42, A46, A48, P1, P2, V7, V8, V9 have stops along M Street, SE. Visit the Metrobus website here for bus route map and hours of operation.


Check of the DC bike map here for a list of roads with bike lanes and bike trails. Canal Park has bike racks clustered throughout the park.  Capital Bikeshare is also conveniently located at the corner of M and New Jersey Ave., SE and at corner of First St. and N St., SE.  Visit any Capital Bikeshare station and for just $5 a day, enjoy access to bikes throughout DC and Arlington. Public Parking
